Ramaseshan discusses death of his mother and brother, and having to oversee Raman Research Institute (Dec 8 1971). Requests V Siddhartha for Lawrence Bragg's obituary note. Remarks on rumours of Siddhartha joining the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and that it would be an 'extremely good position'. Commends work of GP Talwar and Ashok Parthasarathi.
