Author: H. Venkatasubbiah, former Deputy Editor of The Hindu, Madras. Photocopy of reprint from Mainstream, Annual 1982. Includes V Siddhartha's annotations, and an undated preliminary paper by Boudhayan Chattopadhyay titled, "'Modernisation', the fatal flaw and tradition as resource". Venkatasubbiah is V Siddhartha's father.
