Content Description
The accession contains five files arranged in sequential numbered from G-No-1-A to G-No-4 and five maps comprising four regrional maps of india and one road map. The contents primarily relate to projects in herbal medicine, agriculture, animal husbandry, and theology, indicating the diverse scope of MPSM’s outreach and research activities. Accompanying these are maps of India, likely utilized for field navigation, planning, and logistical coordination during project implementation
Condition Description
The papers inside the files have rust stains, discolouration, holes and losses of edges, otherwise the condition of the material is good. The maps are not in good condition, it has permanent folds , major tears, and mold all over the pages.

These papers have details information about the topics related to environment, tribes indigenous knowledge, animal husbandry, agriculture, herbal medicine which was tried to document in the year 1960, hence are a valuable archival resources. This files will be included in new MPSM Papers Collection.

This material was found in the Audio-Visuals storage room of the MPSM by Pratiksha Raut and transferred to Archives department (Bhavana Tole)on 9th June 2025.
Retention Rule
This is a permanent transfer of material to MPSM, where it will be preserved and made accessible as part of its growing institutional archive. Digital copies will be permanently housed at both the Archives at NCBS and MPSM. The material directly supports the PAST project’s aim to document science institutions through personal and institutional histories, aligning with the grantee’s ongoing archival work.
